Respect Retreat

AN EMPOWERING PROGRAM FOR HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS GRADES 9-10

"The facilitators were able to engage all of our kids at some time during the day with their message, music, creativity and humor. Students laughed and they cried and when the day ended, everyone that participated had a chance to feel what it is like when everyone respects themselves and others."
Mike Mathies, Social Worker - Eden Valley-Watkins School

Making your high school a more respectful place

For students to succeed academically and socially, a respectful and caring school climate is essential. During the Youth Frontiers Respect Retreat for ninth or tenth graders, students from different backgrounds and social cliques work together to learn how to embrace respect as a core value in their lives and in their school community. The Respect Retreat helps build a more positive school climate by compelling students to respect themselves, respect others and stand up for the value of respect.

What the Respect Retreat will do

  • Create a more positive and respectful school climate.
  • Build a stronger bond between students and teachers.
  • Empower your students to respect themselves, respect others and stand up for the value of respect.

Results that matter

According to data gathered in an independent study, 83% of participants leave their Respect Retreat with a better understanding of respect, and what it means to be respectful.
